What is MCP?

Model Context Protocol, an open standard that lets AI assistants use outside tools safely. VidRush publishes an MCP server. You add it to your assistant once, and from then on the assistant can start VidRush videos for you.

Which assistants work with the VidRush MCP server?

Claude.ai and ChatGPT as a connector, with your normal VidRush sign-in. Claude Code and Cursor with a VidRush key. Any other MCP client that supports remote servers should work too.

Do I need to write code?

No, and no terminal either. In Claude.ai or ChatGPT you add VidRush as a connector in settings. In Claude Code or Cursor you paste one message into the chat and the assistant sets itself up. After that you only type requests in plain language.

Who can use it?

Existing VidRush users, during the beta. Your assistant acts on your own account only. It cannot see or touch anyone else's projects, even on a team.

What can the MCP server do on my account?

Five tools: read your Brand Profile, list the models, add a file to a project, start a video, and check progress. Nothing else is exposed.

Will it spend my credits without asking?

Only starting a video costs credits, the same amount as on the web. Your assistant can ask for a quote first. If your balance is too low, nothing starts and nothing is charged. Asking twice for the same video starts it once.

Can I edit, render or export through the assistant?

No. The assistant starts the video and tells you where it is. Everything after that happens in the editor.

Is it safe?

The MCP server only acts as you, through your sign-in or your own key, with limited permissions, and applies the same rate limits as the web app. Every action is logged on your account, but your scripts and brand text are never stored in those logs.
